Insect Sounds

Insect Sounds collects the calls of insects, and is a subcategory of Nature Sounds. The recordings were made in parks and near temples.

Titles include insects heard in a park in summer, on an evening walk at the end of summer and at a temple, and some sounds include their surroundings: a brook, a vending machine or an ambulance siren. The species of insect is not identified. Many of the sounds are fairly long.

They suit park and night scenes from summer to autumn, outdoor ambience in games and background sound for video. Because they are long, you can lay one under a whole scene.

The recordings were mainly made at Rinshi-no-mori Park in Meguro, Tokyo. The park is surrounded by housing, so cars and ambulances can enter recordings, and we keep those as part of the character of a park in a residential area of Tokyo.
