Footsteps

Footsteps collects the sounds of walking, running and climbing stairs.

The places differ: parks, residential streets and the stairs of apartment buildings. Weather and time of day differ too, with walks in a park in the rain, steps on dry leaves, evening strolls and climbs up a spiral staircase. Many were recorded at Rinshi-no-mori Park, and some come with an MP4 video.

They suit walking scenes in video, movement sounds in games, documentary-style footage and scene changes in podcasts. The ground and footwear differ from sound to sound, so check each page's title and recording place.

The sounds were mainly recorded in Meguro and Shinagawa, Tokyo. Recordings made where people pass, such as stations and streets, may include third-party sounds by chance, so please read the License page too.
